Depending on the wind speed and direction, we use different launch sites located around Gatineau.
Rivermead A private property in the Rivermead sector is used when the wind is strong from the South West.
Grace residence The backyard of a retirement home at the corner of Parkdale and Wellington in Ottawa allows to fly over Hull and Gatineau when the wind is from the South South West.
HP Located in the Hautes-Plaines sector, this site is good when the wind are from anywhere except the South. Because of its excellent location, it is used quite often.
Chemin de la Montagne A really well sheltered private property on chemin de la Montagne allows to fly when the wind is strong from the West.
Parc La Baie The site of the Gatineau hot air balloon festival is good when the wind is from the South West, South East or East.
Rona du Plateau It’s always fun to take off from “our” backyard at the Rona l'entrepôt store on le Plateau when the wind is from the West.
Rona de Gatineau If the wind is light from the East or the West, the Rona l'entrepôt store of Gatineau is well located to take advantage of the morning rush hour traffic.
Cantley When the wind is strong from the North, a flight out of Denis park in Cantley offers a scenic ride over the forest and the river.
